NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PRIOR TO FINAL ACTION BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF FLORENCE COUNTY. Notice is hereby given by the County Council of Florence County (the “County Council”) that public hearing for the below referenced Ordinances will be held at the County Complex, 180 N. Irby Street, Council Chambers, Room 803, Florence, SC, on May 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in conjunction with a regular scheduled meeting of the County Council. Such Ordinance is described as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 22-2020/21 An Ordinance Authorizing The Execution And Delivery Of A Fee Agreement By And Between Florence County, South Carolina And Project Ice Providing For A Payment Of A Fee In Lieu Of Taxes, The Issuance Of An Economic Development Grant, And Other Matters Related Thereto. ORDINANCE NO. 23-2020/21 An Ordinance To Amend The Agreement For Development Of A Multi-County Industrial And Business Park By And Between Florence County And Marion County, South Carolina, Providing For The Development Of A Jointly Owned And Operated Industrial/Business Park So As To Include Additional Property In Florence County Related To PROJECT ICE (“The Company) As Part Of The Joint County Industrial/Business Park, And Other Matters Relating Thereto. ORDINANCE NO. 25-2020/21 An Ordinance To Provide For The Issuance And Sale Of Not Exceeding Five Million One Hundred Thousand Dollar ($5,100,000) General Obligation Bonds In One Or More Series Of Florence County, South Carolina, To Prescribe The Purposes For Which The Proceeds Of Said Bonds Shall Be Expended, To Provide For The Payment Of Said Bonds, And Other Matters Relating Thereto. ORDINANCE NO. 27-2020/21 An Ordinance To Ratify FY21 Budget And Grant Council Actions Previously Authorized By Council And Other Matters Related Thereto. ORDINANCE NO. 29-2020/21 An Ordinance To Provide For The Issuance And Sale Of A Not Exceeding One Million Fifteen Thousand Dollar ($1,015,000) General Obligation Bond Of Florence County, South Carolina (Florence County Fire Protection District), To Prescribe The Purposes For Which The Proceeds Of Said Bond Shall Be Expended, To Provide For The Payment Of Said Bond, And Other Matters Relating Thereto. ORDINANCE NO. 01-2021/22 An Ordinance To Provide For The Levy Of Taxes In Florence County For The Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2021 And Ending June 30, 2022; To Provide For The Appropriation Thereof; To Provide For Revenues For The Payment Thereof; And To Provide For Other Matters Related Thereto. In an effort to minimize the potential spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19 and to protect County employees as well as the citizenry, citizens entering the Complex must wear a face mask/covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Members of the public may submit written comments with regard to the Ordinances for public hearing to the Clerk to Council at chaselden@florenceco.org, fax to 843.665.3042, or mail to 180 N. Irby St., MSC-G, Florence, SC 29501. Written comments submitted via email or fax will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on May 20, 2021. Mailed comments must be received in the Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. on May 19, 2021. All written comments received by the Clerk prior to the meeting will be provided to Council for consideration. All written comments must reference the item being addressed and will be incorporated into the minutes of the meeting for permanent record. The meeting will be live streamed on the County website at www.florenceco.org. Florence County accommodates individuals needing assistance to participate in programs, services, or activities sponsored by the County in compliance with ADA/Section 504.
