FLORENCE – Softwash Pros USA of the Pee Dee introduced its new technology in the exterior cleaning industry on Thursday at a ribbon cutting with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Chamber ambassadors joined in the celebration.

Dan Ladd started the business in March 2020.

Ladd said, “Right after starting the business I had COVID. I was sick for about three weeks; then just after getting back to work I fell and broke my feet on June 2, 2020. I was cleaning a house and fell from a ladder. I landed on concrete and broke both of my feet. After surgery and four months to recover, we decided that there had to be a better way, and we found that with drone cleaning.”

He said is an innovative, safe way of doing the job.

He said Softwash Pros USA partnered with Lucid Drones and this partnership allows them to clean buildings from two to 10 stories while staying safely on the ground, eliminating the chance of another injury or something even worse.

“We can also clean three times faster than traditional methods offering less intrusion to our customers and their operations,” Ladd said. “The drones’ built in sensors prevent the possibility of a collision, and the onboard camera provides video logs for us and our customers.”

Ladd said this innovative use of technology will allow the business to safely help keep Florence and the surrounding area clean.

They remove mold-moss and do house and roof cleaning and concrete cleaning.

“The combination of soft washing and cleaning with drones is going to take the industry to new heights and flip the cleaning market on its head,” Ladd said.

Softwash Pros USA conducted a demonstration of this new technology at its ribbon cutting at the Florence Chamber of Commerce, 100 W. Evans St. in Florence.

“I joined the chamber as a networking avenue to meet business leaders in the area,” Ladd said. “I plan to be very active in the chamber events and programs.”

Ladd currently works from home. To contact him about his services call 843-466-5407.
