COLUMBIA, S.C. – A family-owned provider of metal fabrication services is expanding its South Carolina operations with the acquisition and development of a larger facility in Anderson County. Stanco Metal Products Inc. is investing $5.9 million to relocate, creating an additional 10 local jobs in Anderson.

Founded in 1917 in Michigan, Stanco, known then as Peerless Novelty Company, began as a non-automotive wire products provider. By 1950, the company had grown to support a total workforce of 85 employees. Today, with additional operations in New Mexico and South Carolina and nearly 170 total employees, Stanco is a complete provider of metal fabrication and support services, including stamping, forming, welding, drilling, riveting, assembly, powder coating and packaging.

Stanco began operating in Anderson County in 2002. Because of an increase in overall sales and increased volume requirements from clients, the company is expanding. This new 64,100-square-foot facility, located on nearly nine acres on Alliance Boulevard in Anderson, S.C. will allow the company to increase operating efficiency and production.

Stanco is taking applications for future career opportunities on site. For more information on Stanco Metal Products Inc., visit www.stancometal.com.
