OLANTA, S.C. -- One person died Friday night in a single vehicle crash on US 301 just outside of Olanta.

The 9:45 p.m. crash happened when a north-bound Ford Fusion ran off the right side of the road and into the back of a legally parked commercial vehicle, said Cpl. Sonny Collins, South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver died in the crash, Collins said.

The Florence County Coroner's Office hasn't yet released the ID of the crash victim.
