TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. – Another Pee Dee school district is going virtual. Florence County School District Four announced on Facebook Tuesday that the district would be going to virtual instruction for the remainder of the week (Sept. 1 through 3) before returning to face-to-face instruction on Tuesday, Sept. 7. 

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. – A group of citizens from the Timmonsville community may sue over the cancelation of elections for three school board seats. Gary Burgess, representative of the remaining member of the Florence Four board, said at Tuesday's meeting of the board that members of the community had spoken with attorney about a suit against South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman. He said he had spoken with an attorney that told him the state department's decision not to hold an election was unconstitutional. 

FLORENCE, S.C. — In the past few weeks, the South Carolina Department of Education has released data from several standardized tests. Results show that students in the state, and in several districts in the Pee Dee Region, have improved in some areas while still needing improvement in others.
