FLORENCE, S.C. -- Central United Methodist Church in Florence Tuesday conducted a blood drive in its Davis Life Center at the corner of Irby and Cheves Streets. Tuesday's goal was 45 units. At its November blood drive the church collected 61 units of blood. Every 56 days, the church hosts a blood drive as part of a ministry organized by the late Woody Jones -- a church member who donated  more than 148 pints of blood over 50 years.
