        Florence, Darlington, and Marion counties are set to receive a total of $13.3 million in state funding as part of a supplemental appropriations bill signed into law by Gov. Henry McMaster. The spending bill earmarks funds for various projects including facility upgrades, emergency response, public safety, and town revitalization.

                Florence County saw a decrease in its July unemployment rate from 4.8% to 4.6%, while Marion County also experienced a decline from 6.8% to 6.6%. In contrast, Darlington County's unemployment rate remained steady at 5%.
