Mullins breaks through, Marion falls
Mullins broke into the win column while Marion suffered its second loss Friday, leaving both teams with 1-2 records.
Lee Central 34, Marion 7: The Swamp Foxes fell to 1-2 on the year with Friday’s loss.
Marion is at Dillon this Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Mullins 12, Kingstree 8: The Auctioneers picked up their first victory of the season in a tight matchup with the Blazers.
Mullins (1-2) will host East Clarendon this Friday at 7:30 p.m. while Kingstree (0-3) hosts Timberland at 7:30 p.m.
Wilson, 33, Darlington, 30: The Wilson Tigers kept the Virgil Wells Trophy in thrilling fashion with a 33-30 victory against Darlington in double overtime Friday in high school football action.
Kayden Bethea had a second-quarter touchdown reception for the Tigers and Joseph McClain had one for the Falcons.
On defense, Rasean Wilson picked off a pass for the Tigers and Amari Jordan had an interception for the Falcons.
Wilson (2-1) travels to Irmo this Friday at 7:30 p.m. while Darlington (1-2) is at Cheraw at 7:30 p.m.
Sumter 35, West Florence 0: The Knights were shut out as the Gamecocks scored four rushing touchdowns and had a pick-six on defense.
West Florence (1-2) travels to rival South Florence this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Camden 49, Hartsville 21: The Bulldogs jumped to a 21-0 lead and kept the Red Foxes at bay the rest of the way.
Hartsville (1-2) hosts Dillon on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Dillon 32, Cheraw 28: Quarterback Nibras Harrison threw for 147 yards and four touchdowns as the Wildcats edged the Braves.
Jamarion Campbell had a pair TD receptions while Ke’Shawn Rey and Kamauri Jacobs each had one.
Geno Lester rushed for the go-ahead score with 10 minutes remaining and Dillon’s defense was able to hold off Cheraw from there. Levis Hatungimana had seven combined tackles and a sack while Malachi Nelson recorded eight combined tackles and had an interception.
The Braves had two fumble returns for scores.
The Wildcats (2-1) host Marion this Friday at 7:30 p.m. while Cheraw (1-2) hosts Darlington at 7:30 p.m.
Latta 36, Lake City 28: Noah Alford scored a rushing TD to help lead the Vikings to a big home victory over the previously unbeaten Panthers.
For Lake City, Jayce Edwards threw for 170 yards and two scores with 102 of those going to XyKenan Hickson. He also had a receiving TD.
Hickson also made his mark on special teams with an 88-yard punt return for a score and Michael Smith also returned a fumble 66 yards for a touchdown.
Latta (2-1) travels to Aynor on Friday at 7:30 p.m. while the Panthers (2-1) will be on the road as well at Lamar at 7 p.m.
Johnsonville 42, Georgetown 28: Larkin Powell rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns as the Golden Flashes took down Georgetown.
Zaghe Davis had 13 carries for 85 and added two more scores and Rondrell Livingston had 67 yards on nine carries with another pair of rushing TDs.
Johnsonville (2-1) travels to Waccamaw this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Scott’s Branch 58, Hannah-Pamplico 13: Jonah Poston returned a fumble for a touchdown for the Raiders in Friday’s loss.
Poston also caught a touchdown pass from Tucker Daniels.
H-P (0-3) will travel to Lee Central this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Lamar 46, East Clarendon 17: The Silver Foxes connected on three touchdowns passes to roll past the Wolverines.
Lamar (2-1) will host Lake City at 7 p.m. this Friday.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy 25, Carvers Bay 19: The Bears suffered their first loss of the season and first regular season loss since the 2024 campaign.
Carvers Bay (2-1) will host Georgetown this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Chesterfield 35, Lewisville 32: The Golden Rams held Lewisville off the board in the fourth quarter to secure their first victory of the season.
Chesterfield (1-2) will travel to Anson (N.C.) this Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup.
Great Falls 28, McBee 0: The Panthers were shut out Friday to fall to 1-2 on the season.
McBee will host Buford this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Dillon Christian 60, Holly Hill Academy 0: Jordan Blackmon threw for 194 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 151 yards and four more scores as the Warriors rolled past Holly Hill.
Blake Hunt, Rylee Martin, Gray Easterling and Jacob Hunt all caught TD passes and Mills Wallace added a rushing touchdown.
Lincoln Dial led the defense with 12 total tackles, six TFL and four sacks. Chandler Rogers had eight total tackles, three TFL and a sack. Easterling had an interception and Scott Burgarin recovered a fumble.
DCS (2-1) will travel to Pee Dee Academy this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Florence Christian 40, Lee Academy 14: Riley Minton threw for three touchdowns for the Eagles in a game that saw a running clock in the second half.
Andrew Miller had a pair of rushing scores for FCS and Jaxon Nealey, Rashod Park and Sullivan Hardy all had TD receptions.
On defense, William Hicks, Park and Hayden Schwab each came away with an interception and Preston Fowler recovered a fumble.
The Eagles (3-0) will travel to Spartanburg Christian Academy this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Pee Dee Academy 47, Carolina Academy 14: PDA quarterback Jesse Smith was 9 of 10 for 254 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Eagles topped the Bobcats.
Smith threw TD passes to Judson Marion, Miles Wiggins and Avery Robinette. Wiggins and Martin also had rushing scores as did Tallon Pridgen.
On defense, Bryce Lewis led PDA with six tackles while Martin and Jack Carmichael had five each. Martin also had a TFL.
Pee Dee (1-1) will host Dillon Christian this Friday at 7:30 p.m. while Carolina (1-2) will host Colleton Prep at 7:30 p.m.
Trinity Collegiate 46, Camden Military 8: Isaiah Gee threw for 140 yards and a touchdown and Andre Jackson had 100 yards rushing and two scores to lead the Titans.
Bruce Burch also threw a TD pass and Robert Mack, Garrison Copeland, Jaylen Clark and Trevor Driggers scored for Trinity.
The Titans (1-1) travel to Bethesda Academy this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Wilson Hall 26, Williamsburg Academy 22: Grant Small and Eli Brown each rushed for scores as the Stallions dropped a close contest to the Barons.
Charlie Caulder caught a 59-yard TD pass from Caden Morris and Bayler Hall an interception on defense for Williamsburg.
The Stallions (1-1) travel to Greenwood Christian this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Lake View 50, Hemingway 8: The Wild Gators improved to 3-0 with a dominant win over the Tigers on Thursday.
Lake View travels to Scott’s Branch this Friday at 7:30 p.m. while Hemingway (0-3) is at Green Sea Floyds at 7:30 p.m.
