LAKE CITY, S.C. – The man who is suspected of robbing a gas station and convenience store in Lake City early Friday is in custody, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Dwight Alonso Littles Jr., age 28, of 822 Ripley Station, Hartsville, has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
Florence County deputies responded to the call at approximately 5:45 a.m. Friday. According to investigators, the suspect entered the store and threatened the clerk with a gun and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene. Video surveillance in the store captured the incident, and images of the suspect were released to the media shortly thereafter.
Based in part on citizen information, investigators identified and arrested Littles.
After this incident, Littles was taken into custody for an alleged unrelated offense in Williamsburg County and will be arraigned in Florence County in the future.
